The Contemporary Circus Artist Course lasts two years and provides for the alternation between classroom training activities and professionalizing activities, which allows students to approach the profession by participating in shows, events, productions promoted by the School’s professional partner companies.
This is the only two-year course for contemporary circus artist who issues a Specialization Certificate recognized by the Piedmont Region and the European Union.
The course includes 1200 hours for the year, with compulsory attendance. The scholastic year begins in October and ends in July of the following year; classes take place from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 17.00 and on some weekends.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To participate in the selections it is necessary to be at least 18 years old (at the beginning of the course), to have obtained the high school diploma and to have the medical certificate for competitive sports.
Application period for the selection in presence: from the beginning of February to the end of May.
Application period for remote selection: from the beginning of February to the end of June.

SELECTION TESTS
Admission to the course is subject to passing the selection tests.
The selection tests take place every year at the beginning of June at the Cirko Vertigo Foundation, Le Serre Cultural Park, Via Tiziano Lanza 31 in Grugliasco (Turin).
By the end of May, each candidate will receive an e-mail communication from the Foundation, containing the date and the hour in which they must be present and the rules to follow.
The selection process involves:
- Acrobatic, dance and theater tests.
- Physical preparation tests (strength, elasticity, resistance).
- Presentation of an individual artistic number (max 2 minutes), communicating first which tool will be used and if it must be made available to the school or if you use your own (the methods for sending the music will be published in a few weeks on this same page).
- Individual orientation interview: training course of the aspiring student, motivations and expectations, personal and professional targets.
The tests will take place in full compliance with the health regulations in force at the time of the selections.
Given the particular health situation, for all those who will be unable to reach our headquarters in Grugliasco, it is possible to participate remotely at the selections, by sending from the beginning of February all the documents required in the seven points listed above, in addition to some videos, must be uploaded during the pre-registration that will be made in the platform.
If you have a medium technical level and would like to apply directly for the second year of the course, you can apply by sending the same documents required for the selections of the first year, specifying in the motivation letter that you apply for the second year of the course, adding any certifications of titles or courses attended in the circus.
